Why is it called Masters Certificate in Business Analysis?
We believe that the level and amount of training provided along with the intensity of the course qualifies this program for the Masters Certificate name. In fact it is just a name but it is now recognized in organizations across Canada. We have now graduated over 1000 students from our program.
Is this program geared to any one type of project or industry?
No - all of our instructors and the exercises and examples they give come from a variety of industries
What is included in the fee?
The course material, lunch, and continental breakfast.
How much work is required between classes?
2-3 hours per week including homework and pre-reading
Do the hours qualify for the 35 educational hours required to apply to write the CBAP exam?
Yes - you need 35 hours - this program gives you in excess of 120 hours.
Will I be ready to write the CBAP exam after the program?
Yes - you will have been presented with enough information that will allow you to sit for the exam. You will have to fulfill the IIBA requirements and study the BABOK. We do not offer a guarantee on this one.
Is the exam at the end of the program the CBAP exam?
No - this is our own internal exam - you would have to apply to theIIBA.org in order to write their exam.
What type of exam is it?
It is a 1 hour exam with multiple choice questions on the course material
What happens if I fail the exam - do I get my certificate?
Yes you do however we would have to arrange some sort of rewrite in the future
What happens if I miss a class?
You will have to arrange for a makeup class in any other city where the program is offered in Canada or in your own city the next time the program is offered.
Do you offer instalment payments on the fee when an individual (rather than an organization) is paying the fees?
Depending on the university, there are some instalment plans.
I want to be on a team with a friend - can you do that?
No - we do not recommend this. If you are on separate teams, you will take back twice as much to your organization afterwards
Are we required to bring laptops?
No - until the last class when each team needs at least 1 laptop and 1 printer
Do I need a university degree in order to qualify?
No.
Is the program credited to any university degree?
No.
Is the program creditable for PMI PDUs?
Yes, some of the modules qualify for PDUS.
Do the instructors have real-world experience?
Yes
Does this program qualify for Revenue Canada's Lifelong Learning Plan whereby I could withdraw money from my RRSP to pay for the course?
No.
Does this program qualify for education tax credit?
Yes, we issue a t-slip for the majority of the program fee.
